It has become increasingly obvious to me, over the past twelve months, that this journey Yahweh has me on is not for the faint of heart. I realize the ship I boarded was not a cruise ship but a battleship. That I wasn’t being called to alife of leisure but inserted into a battle. A battle not just against an obvious enemy of good verses bad but against an enemy of status quo and mediocrity. An enemy that seeks to lower the bar, lessen the requirements, and lighten the loads of what is designed to bring us into our intended purposes. I am not saying that our lives our destined to be full of trials, tribulations, and heartaches. However, if not trained, equipped, and prepared for life one might find themselves in uncharted water without a moral and even more importantly a spiritual compass to guide you out.
To all the pioneers out there who are blazing a new path. Who look not back at the previous generation with disdain but look forward to seeing all that the next generation can be. Fight the good fight of faith knowing that what you are fighting for today has lasting implications for generations to come.
The Youtube video below is Admiral McRaven addressing the 2014 graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin. I am in no way insinuating that my walk is equal to that of a Navy SEAL nor am I endorsing this man personally since I do not know him. However, I am saying that the principles shared in his speech are both universal and applicable for the equipping of a kingdom change agent and an ecclesia enclave.
