History Will Tell If You Believed!

courage 1I recently heard a prophet tell the story of how Jesus appeared to him in a vision and began to tell him about his destiny and all these particular things he was capable of and would do. He said after that Jesus turned around and said, “And history will tell us if you believed me”. I have to say that comment affected me greatly and has continued to make an impact on my daily life.

Everyone of us has had dreams, visions, prophetic words, and ideas of what we thought our life would be like. We have heard from heaven regarding our future and when we heard them something went off in our spirits. However, how many of us are truly on track to accomplish those things and what does it say about us as believers. When Jesus said, “It is finished” He didn’t mean you were finished. He meant He was. He has done His part now He is waiting on you to do yours. That helps us realize that we actually have something to do with what He says. And it proves that there is both sovereignty and free will and they somehow homogenize in our life. Yahweh has a plan for us but when we are dead we will look over the plan and we will see if we actually believed Him.

Find people to surround yourself that believe in your dreams as much as you do and then find the courage to go after them. HISTORY WILL TELL IF YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVED IT!

FFutureUTURE = (My definition) Something that currently exists but the manifestation of which hasn’t happened YET. Through my faith the evidence is brought into existence and intersects with my reality (Hebrews 11:1). Therefore, what I can do is just as real as what I have done. I just haven’t done them YET. (Jeremiah 29:11)

“You can either be pulled by your future or held by your past”

Say “NO” to being a better Caterpillar

My lightening fast mind has recently come to realize how many people (Kingdom, lost, saved, etc…) deal with a performance mentality. Performance mentality in my estimation is living externally in such a way (or attempting to) that those you relate to are happy with you while you remain internally frustrated feeling like you are never good enough. The key to kingdom transformation is not performing better but allowing the morphing process to occur through newly shaped thought patterns (Romans 12:2). Everybody has used the butterfly as a metaphor of transformation. It carries with it the idea of morphing into what you are purposed and originally designed for not just trying to be a better caterpillar.

Say “NO” to just being a better caterpillar and say “YES” to becoming what has been in you all along.

“The Safest Place on the Planet”

Last week I safeplacehelped two of the most important people in my life move 2000 miles across the country to fulfill the current Word from God over their life. Now, I love my son-in-law but driving away from my baby girl was probably the hardest thing I have done in life to this point. Even her getting married wasn’t this hard since they were living only 10 minutes away. However, we have always raised our children to release them into the purposes and plans the Father may have for them and that’s exactly what we did. While preaching Sunday morning I begin to hear something come out of my spirit that would give me a revelation of this time and the true heart of a father (the same way God looks at us). While sharing my internal struggle I said, “Redding, California is the safest place for her to be right now because that is the Father’s current will for her life”. Although it was easy to preach it didn’t close the distance physically between me and her one inch. But that’s when the rest of the statement came forth. I stated that “if in my selfishness I would have attempted to keep her with me through any sense of control, persuassion, or manipulation that I would in fact be placing her and Jonathon in great danger”. Sometimes we think we know what is best for people judging them through the eyes of our own journey. But our current sight was molded through following the Lord’s direction in our own journey of hearing and obeying. Maybe this will make absolutely no sense to anyone else but I would rather my baby girl be 2000 miles from me but in the safest place on the planet than be right next door and in danger.

Here’s to raising and releasing the ones God has entrusted to our stewardship.

“The greatest way to honor pioneers is to keep going”

These are the words I heard in my spirit as I saw this man and his wife worshipping in front of us at Bethel last Sunday evening. They were probably in their mid 80’s. He could barely stand erect, his body showing the wear of time and a life well lived. However, they would stretch their arms out in praise as far as they would reach. For over an hour they worshipped with all that was in them sitting down for a rest every once in a while. The culture of that ministry now well under half their age yet they remain faithful. While it doesn’t look like it did when they started they have seen the Father in every step of it. They stand as the epitome of unselfishness enjoying seeing others build on top of what they help lay giving glory only to Yahweh. No museam could honor people like this the way a generation who is willing to keep going can. Yes, we need to tell their stories so those who are coming in know the price that was paid for the things they are currently enjoying. But the greates reward for those who help pioneer the way for others is to see them keep going, hard after it, with all that is within them. The bounty for them is fruit that will abound to their account. How about a big thank you for all the pioneers whether young or old who have made a way for you to be where you are today.

The Straightest Distance Between Two Points Is NOT Always a Straight Line

U-turn road sign

Yesterday while driving off the Lassen Volcanic National Park, part of the pathway into Redding, California, I was once again drawn to another reoccurring sign. We tend to hold to the truth that the closest distance between two points is a straight line. However, that path is not usually the course of action in my life. While the path may be winding and seem somewhat circuitous at times I am keenly aware that the footsteps of the righteous are ordered by Yahweh. While no one ever arrives at the destination by turning around. Sometimes the patch between two points is not a straight line. Be flexible and allow Holy Spirit to lead your life safely to the determined destination and don’t be afraid if the road is not always straight.

Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God”

No “U” Turns

We started yesterday just outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming in our journey to move our kids to Redding, California. While the beauty and scenery causes you stand in awe of the Creator there is a point when driving across the salt flats and dessert in Western Utah that it all begins to look the same. And while it was amazing to see parts of the country that I have never seen before my spirit was drawn to this sign. Every few miles this sign kept popping up obviously continuing to let travelers know that they could not use this opportunity to turn around. Sometimes life gets difficult, you seemingly stare at the same scenery, and wonder if you will ever arrive at your destination. However, no one ever arrived at the destination by turning back.

Here’s To The Process!

process-1PROCESS = A systematic series of actions directed towards a designed end. (dictionary.com)

“The prophetic is not the delivery of a singular word, but a process of inquiry that requires us to continually go back to the Father” Scott Webster

An angel appeared to Manoah’s wife to announce the birth of Samson. When she told Manoah about the impending birth, Manoah prayed and asked the Lord to “Let the man of God you sent to us come again to teach us HOW to bring up the boy who is to be born” (Judges 13:8). Manoah realized that the prophetic promise required that they receive more resource from God regarding HOW the child should be raised. They could not assume that they could parent Samson according to the patterns they knew from their own families or simply do what was right in their own minds. So Manoah prayed a very strategic prayer that followed up the initial prophetic word with a request for more and continual wisdom and insight.

“Father, may we never just rest on one word but continually inquire of you for more wisdom and insight on HOW to accomplish the word that was delivered to us.”

Here’s to the PROCESS!

“Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear”

Have you eObjects in Mirrorver believed God for something and it seemed as if it would never come to pass? Are there dreams and visions you have had for your life that look extremly far away?

I have recently ministering on the reality that Yahweh (God) is speaking to us all of the time. That if you haven’t heard Him speak in the last 24 hours then something is not right. The problem isn’t Him not speaking. It is us not being in position or to distracted to hear Him. Yahweh still speaks to people in an audible voice. However, it tends to be His last resort. If He has to speak to you in an audible voice it is because you have missed His voice in all the little details.

I have a lot of dreams and visions that Yahweh has placed down in my spirit to accomplish for the kingdom and His glory. However, sometimes those things seem so large I don’t know how it will ever come to pass (which is a good place to be in). In those times it is always good to hear the Father speak a word that can change your whole perception. A few weeks ago my son was driving me back from Arkansas. Meditating on the things of the Lord and the next step in my journey. I looked out my window to see written on the mirror “objects in mirror are closer than they appear”. I have seen that a thousand times and yet in this moment Yahweh used it to speak to me. Apostle James refers to the Word (Yahshua/Jesus) as a mirror that we are supposed to look into and then not walk away and forget the vision that we are supposed to look like. Within that vision is not just the accuracy of who I am destine to represent but inside that is the fulfillment of all the dreams and visions that He has placed inside of me.

I said all of that to share a simple word of encouragement today, “OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR!”
